How does executive coaching impact self-actualization, leadership, and organizational behavior?
This was the central question of my doctoral dissertation in Management and Business Administration, where I examined the real results of executive coaching programs implemented in Bulgarian and international organizations.
The study involved 269 participants – managers, team leaders, and senior executives who had undergone both individual and group coaching programs.
What did the results show?
Coaching not only improves individual effectiveness but also leads to deep personal and professional transformation. The main measured outcomes include:
- Increased self-awareness and intrinsic motivation
- Clearly defined goals and more strategic thinking
- Enhanced emotional intelligence and communication
- Better stress management and inner resilience
- Significant improvement in team effectiveness and engagement
- Higher levels of authentic leadership and the ability to inspire others
- Greater personal and team-wide engagement
Why does this matter for organizations?
Organizations that invest in coaching build a strong culture of trust, intrinsic motivation, and shared responsibility. The research showed that coaching programs contribute to:
- Lower turnover and improved talent retention
- Increased team productivity and innovation
- More balanced decision-making in times of uncertainty
- A more cohesive organizational culture and better interpersonal dynamics
Coaching is a strategic tool for growth.
The coaching programs I offer through Inner Compass are grounded in both science and practice—are informed by this doctoral research and backed by over 15,000 hours of professional coaching experience.
If you’re a leader, HR professional, or business owner seeking sustainable solutions for developing the people in your organization, coaching isn’t just a service; it’s a strategic investment in human potential.
